So I go to install my 8x8 door and it turns out its only a 8x7. So I call the supplier were I purchased the materials for the building.(except trusses). He said I wrote down 8x7 on my build sheet. I don't believe that but mabey. I day goes buy and he said he'd sell me a new 8x8 door at his cost. $483. I finally remember what I did. I initially gave him a build sheet with a 8x7 door, 16x8 door 2x4 walls and regular trusses. He then gave ne a quote accordingly. Then 3 weeks later I gave him another build sheet with a 16x12 door 8x8 door 2x6 studs and no trusses, I also gave him the build sheet for the trusses so he could figure materials which he gave me a entirely differently price for. So when he calls again I remind him of this and he still thinks I should by the correct door. I would just frame the to 7 ft but I think my future use of door will required a 8 footer(tractor). What do you guys think is the right way to resolve this? Said door is gray in color and harder to resell im sure.

The standard rule in retail is the customer is always right. You should get your money back on the 8X7 door and buy the 8X8.

If you reviewed the second quote and did not say anything about the door I would say it's on you. Check to see what a new panel and taller tracks would cost.

Well I also gave him the option of getting me another 21 inch panel and track extensions. That would give me a 105" door about 8.9ft. I would have to raise the header up and reframe that area. The door is a raised panel so it would look goofy if I left it at 96".
