Garage Door problems

I have an older Genie garage door opener. It does not want
to open or close properly without hitting the up and down switch
repeatedly. I noticed that one of the electric eyes is blinking and
the other one isn't. Could this be my problem? If so where could
a person get a new electric eye?

The safety sensors can be purchased at Lowe's or HD. Are you near a Lowe's or Home Depot? The sensors could be knocked out of alignment.

I had a similar problem, tried everything THEN notices the eyes were not aligned (must have bumped one).

You can sometimes just hold the opener button down and it will override the sensor obstruction, might try it going up I guess...
