Garage Door Question

I have done a search on garage doors here and it seems everyone has their favorites but never say why or what it has that the other doesn't. So I called three companies about garage doors and here is the quotes and the brand of doors they recommend. I want an R-14-15 rating on the doors which are two 8'x7' doors.

Haas Door - Platinum Edition $3,000 installed with windows at the top.

Amarr (Through Costco) - Fimbel Olympus Collection $2,000 installed with windows at the top.

C.H.I - Not sure what line but comparable to the above at around $2,200 installed with windows at the top.

I also got quotes from $600-$700 for the side garage door openers (Liftmaster3800) which includes the opener and labor. Is this a decent quote?

So the question is whether there is a reason not to go with the Amarr door since it is cheapest. Are there quality issues with these doors vs. the others (i.e. you get what you pay for)?

I don't know about the door, but I just paid $425 installed for the same Liftmaster opener. The installer was doing more work on the door, so it might have been a bit cheaper than just a straight up opener install. I'm not far from you either.

The Olympus door is a great door you there is no reason not to go with it in my opinion. We use them alot as they are sold through Amarr. That is a little high on the opener side though.

The price I was quoted was from the installer of the doors so it was not a straight up opener install. What was the name of the company you used?

So did you go w/ the Olympus door? I'm planning to order the Olympus 500 w/ Window inserts today also through Costco as it's got the best deal. The R-Value does go down a couple of pts. with the window inserts though.
