I'd like to screen the opening to my shop, which is roughly 12X12 feet. In the spring, birds come in (and won't leave) wasps come in (and won't leave) and of course, there are mosquitoes and flies. I've looked into commercially available screens, but $$$. What about Velcro? I could join enough widths of fiberglass screening to make a 12X12 foot piece. Then attach (?) Velcro to the sides and top, and the mating Velcro to the door jambs. Just peel it off when I want to move a vehicle/machine/materials in and out. They make self-adhesive Velcro strips, but I'm not sure how to attach it to the screening, and I don't know how to join pieces of screening together to make a giant screen. Glue? Sew it? What do you guys think?

I made one for a garage door years back when we lived in our garage while we built our house.
I sewed multiple strips of screen together and fashioned it as a 'roll up' similar to the roll up bamboo curtains. Was a little awkward to roll up but worked very well for our purpose. Although it wasn't attached to the doors when down it was good enough to keep the critters out.

What's your thoughts on 1" x 2" frame with the screens stapled on the the frame work? Make then 3' wide x 12' tall. Maybe some foam rope [backer rod] for weather stripping. This goes over the screen to hold it down(?). Harry

12’ high is a bit harder to deal with than a standard door opening.

I have a HF screen for my door. Works ok. Price is good.

Shade screen would work, and it's pretty cheap. I could permanently install the upper part, and figure out how to make the lower part removable. I don't need much height; I don't move anything very tall in and out.
