Just installed lights in my basement shop and I need about 1/2" for the door to clear them. Is this a simple fix or should I look another fixture?

These are LEDs. I guess I'll have to look a lower profile for those 2 fixtures

Will the door clear the fixtures if your remove the diffusers? Or would the bulbs still be in the way? Some people use LED fixtures in their garages that don't have diffusers in them.

That is kind of ghetto, but it's free.

Or just make a recess in the ceiling, or use retrofit pot lights where the garage doors are in the way.

...I may try and drop the rear of track first

Thanks for the help you guys

That is probably the best bet. And, in the Garage Journal way, you would not be replacing two lights, but you would be ADDING two lights somewhere else in your garage!! Which is always a good thing!

Depending which way the trusses run, could you remove a piece of the drywall and screw them directly to the trusses?

It's in a basement shop with living space above it. 5/8" sheetrock by code. And I haven't passed the final yet so I don't think the inspector would let it role
