Garage door track question

I removed my garage door opener and tracks to install drywall on the ceiling, and now it's time to re-install the tracks. My question: if I simple lag bolt the hangers back up just as they were, the back ends of the tracks will be 1/2" lower than they were before because of the thickness of the drywall; is this enough to be a problem or should I adjust the track hangers to get the tracks back exactly where they were before. The bolt holes in the 'slotted angle' are an even one inch apart, so it's a bit hard to adjust it only 1/2 inch.

Just get it as close to where it was before. A 1/2" shouldn't be a big deal unless the tracks were flat and the 1/2" makes them slope down at the back end. It's best to have a little positive slope towards the door opening.

Actually, I think they were sloped down at the back a bit before I removed them. I assumed it was supposed to be that way. I took careful measurements and made notes - I'll have to check when I go out there later.

So maybe if I move the mounts up one hole (one inch) they'll actually be level or sloped the correct way.

Thanks.

Standard door installation should have a slight rise to the track at the rear
