Garage Door Trim

Well, I just installed my new garage door and now I need to change the trim the door.

The door is currently trimmed with an older aluminium flashing that has some damage from a little mishap and some rot at the bottom.

I would appreciate any ideas on how to upgrade the trim. I was thinking a wood trim but I am not sure.

Pictures would help but seems like what will be easiest is to just have the door re wrapped with aluminum to the color that matches the door after replacing the rotten wood. You'll need a 10' aluminum break and some coil though. May be easier to hire it out

+1 on wrapping with aluminum trim coil. Its easy with a brake but for a small job may be cheaper to hire out then rent thr brake.

Second option is metal building door trim. Basically just a 90 degree piece of tin that covers the door frame.

Subscribed to this. I have the same issue both on my metal shop and main garage and I'm also looking for something that might look better.
