Putting in a overhead garage door and would like some advise on whether I should get a door with a window or go solid. Look forward to the comments as always!

City or suburbs? I like it for the light it lets on, don't like people looking in. Everyone says to install the frosted vinyl so you get both, but I like to look out. How about mirror tint on the inside? LOL

There will be a lot of different opinions on this...
I put in a door with windows in the top panel and love it.
There is plenty of natural light in the garage now.

If you're worried about people looking in, you could frost the glass.

These pictures are taken facing north.. morning sun through the garage doors.. Evening sun through the 3 long windows. . The Door windows are very similar in style and height to the trio.

That only works if it is pitch black inside and light outside. Once the inside has light, you can still see through the tint. My B-I-L tried it at work to keep competitors from looking into their shop - didn't work. They ended up taping cardboard over the windows. High windows would have worked out better for them.

I did see the LOL though. :D

These really made the door end of my shop nice. People looking in or worry s about thieves is not an issue here.
