I have a 24 year old Genie garage door opener that I was having problems closing because of poor connection at the safe t beam sensor. I got tired of messing with it so I bought new sensors that have screw down connections. After installing them and aligning them, both lights were on solid, I am unable to close the door. The red led blinks 5 times which states that Safe t beam must be installed and operational. I tried everything I could think of, so I reinstalled the old sensors and they worked fine. I want to use the new sensors because of the secure connection. Any help will be appreciated.
