I observed 2 houses of friends undergoing extensive remodeling in 2 different towns in NJ. Both were on corner lots. Both wished to have their "Front door" a typical 36" wide door, on the side of the house NOT associated with the street address. They had no desire to put a door on the side facing the street named in their address.
Both were forced by building officials to place a typical front door on the side of the house facing the street associated with the house address. They do have an additional door on the non-address side and they use it as their main entrance.
