Garage doors open or closed?

In the next few days I am going to be installing TLPPC. I am trying to decide if the garage doors should be open or closed. I am afraid if I leave them open leaves, dust, and dirt will blow in the garage. With them closed I not sure how to make a nice line especially since the TLPPC gets sprayed on. I'm afraid of it puddling up by the door. Looking for some advice.

I did mine last weekend. I put my door up about a foot, just put some plastic outside to prevent anything from coming in. I had a roller handy for puddles, really didn't need it on the first 2 coats. I applied the first coat very wet, 250sf/gallon, and it soaked in
the floor easily. Closers to 400sf / gallon for the second . I sprayed then rolled coat 3, 6-700sf/gallon, last 2 were rolled on about 1000sf/gallon.

I'd use painters tape. It is for making straight lines while painting.

Ok, I used it when I put my epoxy down. You will have to paint up to it, then pull it up, as the sealer may bleed through.
It did NOT with my epoxy.

A couple of things here....

I would leave the door partially open for as much of the install as possible. I would pick your line and tape it (for the garage door) and use paper as well as tape. For me personally it helps to spray with my back to the garage door and walk backwards. Just feels easier to control.

You don't want to do this when the wind is blowing in and you want to try and avoid having the sun beating down on it while you are working.
