It time to make a decision on the doors. The garage is 26x32x10. Roof pith is 4/12 pitch with vaulted ceilings 2 10x8 doors. One bay is going to have a lift. So that will have a hi-lift door and a lift master 3800. I am thinking of doing a hi lift on the other door door also. Or should I put a standard opening door with a 3800? Looking for some opinions.
Cost differential between standard and "high-lift" doors should be pretty small, so it would be recommended to go with the high-lift for both. 3800 openers are great. Self locking and with remote key pad and in car opener along with the remote light are excellent features. They are pretty quite too while in operation.
To dress up your doors, suggest that you paint (or have them powder coated) all the hardware. Easy to paint (rattle can) and just be sure to wipe down with lacquer thinner first. Just pick up the hardware from your door vendor and paint or PC prior to install.
Also would suggest that you pre-wire for the lock, and obstruction safety features as well as the hard wired key-pad.
Best of luck with your project.
Ody.
PS: If you have a crew install the doors, your presence is desirable. Watch out for poor installation with "cable -pops" due to poor door alignment. Further, I'm not sure where you are in construction, you will need solid backing for the torsion spring mount point too.
