Hi all, I haven't been around much in a very long time. I've been reading and looking at your projects and they're great. I'm finally foing to start my poject and need some advice or ideas. I'm going to have to build in stages for affordability, but with a pole barn it will be fine. I'm building a 30x36x14 roof only to start with. Then add a concrete floor and frame in the walls and siding. The question I have is would you put the car door(s) on the 30' Gable end or the 36' side wall? One thought was a 12' door for an RV and an 8' door for a car on the Gable side. That makes for a very long garage or shop. Or I could do the same doors on the 36' side and still have plenty of depth to work on my cars and bus. Here is my hot rod bus project I need to get inside.

So, let me know what your thoughts and ideas are.

Thanks.

I would put the doors on the 36 foot side. More room to work on projects without having to move a rig out of the way when you need to get to the opposite end.

Nice thing about pole buildings is you can always expand, mine started at 24 X 24 and it is now 48 X 72 and still not enough room!

Happy Building,
Dave
