garage doors

I just had a block garage layed up it has two garage door opening they are 8x7 I know I should have went bigger. my opening is 8' wide and my door is 8' wide how do I frame and hang the doors. thanks for the help. Ray

2 vertical 2x6 floor to ceiling.
1 2x6 across the top for header.
1 2x6 in the center for your spring pad.

Keep them flush with your block and lintel. All done

The rough opening should be more than 8' for a 8' door. Typically it would be 8' 3".

I have always understood block garage door openings to be equal to the finished door width.
Garage doors go to the inside of the wall.
If you frame the block opening with a 2x rough and then a finish 1x you have a 1 1/4 inch overlap for sealing the door against.

It all depends on how Ray plans on finishing the block. If the plan is just to paint, the stop moulding will be enough to. Seal the door.
