Garage drain solution

Hello, I live in Alberta and my garage floor has apply aspartic finish along with in-floor heating. My problem is, in the winter, with the accumulation of snow on the vehicles get lots of puddling of water. I do not have any floor drains, unfortunately. Is there a good solution for this? Can a drain be installed without removing my in-floor heating?

Welcome to the Forum from the Southern California Coast. Drains flow downhill, can your floor be somehow be modified so that there is a pitch leading to a low spot where the water will collect?

Maybe your floor can be made warm enough that the melted snow will evaporate? A very large vacuum cleaner could remove the standing water.

No, you can't put a drain in and keep your heat, unless there happens to be a perfect open path with no tubing and you know exactly where that is.

Dehumidification and a shop vac/squeegee
