Garage equipment identification help

Hello I recently purchased an estate home, and the prior owner has a lot of things going on in the garage that I either can't identify what it is, or it it is usable for my intended goal for the garage. --small scale one at a time automotive restoration. I could really use the assistance from people more knowledgeable than I.

First item is made by binks. These two parts were assembled on the wall. I took the lower section off to check inside by unscrewing the nut. It definitely needs a good cleaning. What is it's purpose, is it missing anything to be able to accomplish its purpose, and does anyone know of a model number so I can review its specs?

Do you think it is missing anything? Do you happen to have any idea on the cfm@psi for a water separator like this? Definitely something I'll be using if I can.

Second item appears unbranded. Had a broken bleed off valve on the bottom that I removed. Is this a larger version of the same thing, or,something else? They were installed right next to each other.

And yes, they did something that sends shivers down my back, they plumbed the air lines in pvc. I won't be using that. Going to change it out for something that doesn't explode.

The first one looks to be the binks 545a water oil extractor from the catalog.
