Today, with the installation of the cove base on the center post, my garage is finally officially DONE! It started in January and looked like this:

Now it looks like this:

It was a long project and cost a bit of money, but it was well worth it. The garage is now strictly for car stuff. Yard implements have all moved to a new shed in the back yard and household storage is now under the stairs or in the extra bedroom. Not readily seen are the diamond plate flourescent fixtures from Home Depot that have been flush-mounted to the ceiling and the new white steel garage doors to replace the 40-year old wooden garage doors. It's only 19 by 24, but it keeps our Ponies out of the weather.

Lots more pictures are to be found here.

Nice job, man. How did you run the power for the lights...did they have to be wired in?
The lights come with a plug in cord already attached. I didn't want to hang them from chains, so the cords came off and they were hardwired into junction boxes and flush mounted. My father-in-law had had a huge number of receptacles installed in the ceiling for the previous fluorescent fixtures to be plugged into, so there were plenty of spots to install juction boxes. Here's a closeup picture of the fixtures.

Good job wish mine was that far along I'm still at the insulated wall stage.
My walls aren't even insulated yet because I still have more infrastructure to run :spit:
I bought a few of those HD diamond plate flourescents too, and might just take your lead and flush mount them as well.

Great inspiration man!
