I'm starting a Garage Rehab business in San Antonio. I'm a 26 year Army Veteran starting this a a third career. Primarily redoing floors. What tools should I invest in? Where are the "good" deals? Thanks!

Learning. Did my own garage floor two times now. Found a great mentor in Royal Epoxy. Found a supplier in California for wholesale supplies. Very limited opportunities to get trained/certified. Reading everything I can. Even making "dumb" post on this site!

Lol,
Cool.thanks for clarifying. I didn't know what you meant from redoing floors. I didnt know if you meant epoxy finish or if you meant replacing concrete..
I have no experience with floor finishes, but best of luck to you and your new endeavor !
Also thank you for your service.

Flip, to me, means you will buy the garage for a low price due to it's dilapidated state, repair it for minimal cost, and sell for a profit.

Is that what you're doing?

Gotcha640 - I used "flip" meaning turning an eyesore into someplace you enjoy. After redoing my garage and learning some expensive lessons I want to do this for others. I'm working on the biz plan now. Found some good mentors. Going to give it a shot.

I'd talk to material vendors for the epoxy flooring. They're going to have specific recommendations for surface prep that will dictate your required equipment.

When I hire someone to do epoxy floors for me, they're usually shotblasting the slabs first, but you can do it by hand with a diamond abrasive tool. It's just messier and more time consuming, and you can't be competitive in my market being slow.
