Must have been Renuity or TSR. They are big hedge fund owned companies charging $10+/sf.I got a quote for 6k the other day... 550 SF full flake polyspartic. In NC
I think thats around double what it should be
Because people are idiots and just want the job done. Its not just the floor industry, the entire home repair industry is bananas, some of these guys are making more per hour than doctors.Must have been Renuity or TSR. They are big hedge fund owned companies charging $10+/sf.
I'm in NC as well, and I would be about $3300 for a full poly system. I don't really know how those guys are closing jobs at $10/sf.
Hello. I am currently looking to have my new shop addition (1200 sq. ft.) floor done. I had another building done on the property with epoxy. I have been reading (and told by a few salesmen) that they use a polyurea base coat that "penetrates” concrete and a top coat of polyaspartic. The point they made was epoxy sits on top of the concrete rather than penetrate it and that it does not have the elasticity of the polyurea/polyaspartic. The claim is that epoxy continues to harden over time and eventually starts losing its grip with the concrete and becomes easier to chip up from dropped tools, etc. I haven’t noticed that yet on my epoxy floor but it is only about 4 years old. Is this nothing more than pure hokum? Thanks.Epoxy Base / Polyaspartic Topcoat. Only reason an installer uses polyaspartic as base coat is to get the job done quicker and collect a check.
I wish! Here in the Houston area, I just paid $11.37 sq ft for my 1200 sq. ft foundation and $7.75 sq ft for all the flatwork (roads, parking area, trailer pad, etc.) and that was cheaper than most. I went with the guy I used because he has been my cement guy for quite a while and I have never been disappointed. I do check prices each time though and he normally has the best price or not much above what others quote.Isn't concrete around $7/sq ft for garage slabs???? Prices of this stuff are out of control.
Well, we know what your time is worth!I was quoted $700, me and the old lady did it in an hour on Sunday. Screw that!
Quote i got for a 30x30 shop addition and 30x30 outside pad was $14/sq ft with me doing the dirt work, pex and drain.Isn't concrete around $7/sq ft for garage slabs???? Prices of this stuff are out of control.
Happy with the final result of your epoxy? Did you use a local or national company?I started slowly moving things back inside the garage

I am in Madison and TSR is doing my garage floor next week. We agreed at $4,000 for a 450sq two car car garage with some repair to be done where salt damaged the foundation. Yea it's a bit expensive, hopefully worth it.Happy with the final result of your epoxy? Did you use a local or national company?
I'm in Wisconsin looking to get a floor done. Initial estimates are coming in at around $6/sqft. Looks like you came in well below with your 2nd guote.
I ended up going with Badger Floor Coatings. My house is still under construction and they just poured my garage floor last week, so it’s not epoxied yet.I am in Madison and TSR is doing my garage floor next week. It's been a while now. How did this work out?Standard two car garage with a short stem wall....I'm not doing my main 975 square foot shop, just the main attached two garage
How much are you guys seeing and paying?
I was quoted $3,775 by one company, waiting to get an estimate by another
I was kinda shocked by this price
With epoxy floors, cheap is usually NOT the way to go. $4000 is a touch high, but not unrealistic. It all depends on how much work has to be done on the damaged area and the quality of materials used. I'd be around 3.5K if the repair work was minimal. 2 day process.I am in Madison and TSR is doing my garage floor next week.
