Garage floor coating question

I've ordered Rust Bullet from Justin to coat our new 1000sf garage/race shop. I'm planning on leaving the RB its simple, natural grey without flakes.

Should I try to coat the small vertical concrete around the perimeter of the garage that the stud walls sit on? Or leave the natural and just coat the horizontal floor surface? (I think there is a fancy architectural, engineering, or building term for the vertical piece of concrete that the plate and stud wall sits on.)

After looking at the garage floor I realize that trying to paint the vertical portion will be very time consuming if not awkward to do. Lots of the walls will have cabinets, benches, etc. up against.

What does the collective intelligence of the Forum think? What have others done? Thanks!

I had purchased a gallon of RB to do a test patch to see if I liked it and decided to use it for the "curb" of my 750 sq ft addition while waiting for my complete order to come in. My curb is less than perfectly formed, so I just used a cheap chip brush and went around it at a fast pace, working it into the rough surface. I was careful to avoid getting it on the floor, so as to avoid re-coat issues when it was time to roll the floor. Since the curb gets no wear I decided to stop at one coat. I'm happy with the way it looks. One advantage to painting it is that you won't have to sweat the inevitable hit with the roller if you had decided to leave it natural.

Since it really won't get much wear, how about just a gray paint to match, or contrast black or to your liking. Paint it first, then do the floor.

I painted mine to match the color of the floor. When I had the gray coat only it looked better with it painted. I would just add 1 thick coat and paint it. Here is a pic

I plan on going gray with my single garage.

I'm about to do the same 1000 sq. ft. in my 28 x 34. Mine looks exactly like yours with the studs and sill to the "curb". Then I did OSB on the walls down to the sill plate. I wasn't going to paint mine because I had planned to put some type of molding around the bottom to the floor, either the vinyl stuff or some kind of composite material.

Take care of the floor. If you have some material left over that is going to go bad anyway, use it. If not buy a concrete paint. You don't need to spend the money on a vertical surface.
