Next spring, I would like to spruce up the garage. My wife would like a coating on the floor, but I'm worried my welding will destroy it. Is there anything out there that would hold up decently for the occasional welding/cutting/grinding project?

I can say from experience epoxy does not hold up well to hot work. I used GhostShield on this slab and am 'lukewarm' on the product. It's not terrible, but it's not great. It has held up well to the limited amount of hot work I have done (still setting up shop). Has not held up well to fluids.
SLAG is a killer. Nothing can stop slab from being destructive beyond a covering like steel.
That said our HEllFire is fairly heat resistant...
Tillman canvas welding blanket on the floor,.

What Ghostshield products did you use?
What densifier if any did you use?Sorry for the slow response. I used 8510. Easy to apply and fairly inexpensive.
