Garage Floor dilemma

Hi I am EnthusiaticDIYer from Cali.
I have a large enclosed patio that was originally mixed with color and then we put indoor outdoor carpet on top of it, when we took the carpet up, there was glue left, but there were also tiny little hole all in the concrete (patio was enclosed completely).
#1 Does anyone have any information on how to get the carpet out of the little holes, we are scrapping the carpet up, but it is in the holes, and #2 will encounter any problems when we put an Epoxy flooring down on the colored concrete, (colored was mixed in before put down.)
Can anyone HELP?
and now that I am in the right section thanks to HOTFR8, I have a #3 Not sure how to resurface to cover the holes and if we should use a sealer or more concrete?

What are the holes from? How big? Do you have any pictures?

Personally if it were me, I'd get the glue off the floor. Then I'd patch the holes. Then I'd grind the floor. In general, you either have to (chemically) etch or (physically) grind the floor for epoxy prep anyhow. Grinding is the recommended method, even though more labor intensive. Given your history, I think it's the only option really.

I would recommend using an organic mastic remover to soften up the glue in the holes. Then follow up with some high pressure water to clean out the holes. There are a few ways to fill the holes, but it would help with pics. How large are they? DO NOT use a sealer to try and fill holes if you plan on putting down epoxy.

Concrete grinder may be of help. If you have paint and all that stuff on the floor, it will need to be removed before you put down epoxy. You can get most of the paint, adhesive and residual carpet fibers in one step (including grinding out shallow dimples) by renting a grinder.

HI, the holes are the size of a phillip screwer, medium one, and I found out it was from salt being sprinkled down before the carpet was laid.

Okay everyone we used a large sander got up carpet and we are resurfacing with cement.
Not sure but will keep up to date>
