I think you pretty much have to read the posts about the various brands and compare experiences. A topic like this is problematic because very few DIY users try more than one brand. Thus, if it turned out acceptable, they are going to vote for that brand. The pros have tried a lot of different approaches, but they will have an agenda to promote the brands and products they use. That's ok - that's what makes them want to be here and respond to posts, but I believe the discriminating consumer has to consider that.

Maybe a poll about bad experiences would be more telling. You have to wonder if there are enough respondents here to make a poll worthwhile though.

When I look at user reviews of products, I always look at the worst ones first, but with a skeptical eye. Might be just as useful to look for horror stories, and be critical.

hth!

Tim makes a good point, most polls turn out the same way, it ends up just being a tally of who uses what. "What digital camera should I buy?" always turns out terrible, you have 50 people naming off the 50 different cameras that they own saying "it works great for me!" :p

Read the sticky up top, I'm not sure how up-to-date it is. Decide how much you want to spend total, or per square foot, for your project; and what you will be doing on your garage floor (heavy automotive work, or just parking) etc.

Dear Olmanmark,

The products I use are not available to the public. With that said, I think Wolverines products are as close to what I use that any other DIY kits out. I have never used them, but from some pics and comments from users, its probably the best bet.

You should really worry more about the preperation of your concrete than the material itself. Example, I can use cheap products on a well prepped floor and it would last longer that the best unobtanium products out over a ill prepped floor.

Remember, with prooducts, you usually get what you pay for. With preperation, there is no shortcut. Diamond grind or shotblast and vac it up good.

Good Luck
