Garage Floor Issue

We moved into a home that has a separate garage... I'm rebuilding it, but the garage floor is a real goddam mess. Looks like the previous owner leveled it with a flat point shovel. I don't want to tear it out and replace it, but I'd like to smooth it out. Should I have it ground down, or is there a leveling product that will trowel out and actually not crack off over time? It'd have to be about an inch thick to achieve level.

Many manufacturers such as Arden, Laticrete, CMP and others offer quality self levelers. We don’t recommend anything from a home center.

Make sure to select the proper product from the mfgr and also make sure it is coatable. Priming with your epoxy selection matching epoxy primer is a must since these products are very porous.

Alternately you can level with perhaps a less expensive leveler and then go over it with our www.supratile.com interlocking tiles.
