Recently moved to a new to us house and on my long list of things to do is address the garage floor. Currently, and for some idiotic reason, the concrete finish is like glass. Any water or snow dragged in has caused a few slips and near falls. It's an accident waiting to happen.
The garage space is about 1500 sq ft. Any kind of decking, tile, coating is going to be pricey and I'll ultimately get there but for the time being what is the best way to add traction to this ice skating rink?
If I do decide to put down a tile or coating I'll need to clean, etch, grind anyway. Do any of those processes add tooth to the concrete?
Other options I'm overlooking?
Thanks.
