Garage floor newbie

Hey everyone, this my first post after lurking for some time. I am looking to update my garage floor, but looking to do so as cheap as possible (I know, I know, you get what you pay for). We have lived here for just over a year and been putting this project off for a while. I was planning on just buying a rustoleum kit, but then I started researching! I would love to do a floor tile or high end finish, but that would not seem sensible since we plan on moving from this house in a couple of years. I don't think my area would see a boost in resale value from a nice garage floor. And the wife already doesn't understand how long I spend in the garage working on my car, so justifying money on the floor with her is tough!

I have attached a picture of my garage currently (remembered to take one before I start prepping!) as you can see it was previously painted and not looking very nice. Looking for any suggestions or advice people can offer, to get this floor improved without breaking the bank. Tyia

Unfortunately race deck flooring is not within my budget right now. I would like it, because I spend a lot of time laying on the floor under cars. But I need something that is easier to clean but doesn't cost too much right now.

Biggest mistake I made was putting a coating on my garage floor.

The junk I used is terrible. Extremely fragile. Can’t even put a motorcycle on a kickstand without scratching it. Drop a tool? Chip.

I should have just left it as a shop floor.

No offense, but if you're going to move in a couple of years, don't waste your time with a coating. It's not going to add any value for the vast majority of buyers. You won't get your money back. If you buy cheap stuff, and it turns out poorly, or flakes/peels in a couple of years when it's time to sell the house it can actually detract from the value in a buyer's eyes.

Just take the cheap/easy route here and leave it alone. Keep the wife happy too.

Our least expensive coating but really works well is our SPGX one part Polyurea Coating at about 60 cents/ sq ft.

Can you tell me more about this? I have about 600sqft and at that seems within my price range. What kind of finish would it appear visually?

I mainly want something that will be easy to maintain by washing down, so I dont get so dirty laying on the ground. And something that looks visually appealing, but does not have to blow minds.

Hi, the finish visually is comarable to a clear or colored re really isn't any cosmetic difference. If clear is chosen it looks like polished concrete.
