Researched this floor repair here and went to buy a bag of Ardex CD FINE. They recommended Ardex Feather Finish. After more reading I'm not real sure about usingFeather finish. Pitting is caused from salt and is approx1/8 to 1/4'' deep. Area is the size of a vehicle. Any thoughts on using Feather Finish?

Deter, the plan is to put Racedeck tiles down. Solid tiles around the perimeter and the free flow tile in the area of repair. The plan was to still be able to use the pressure washer for cleaning under the free flow tile. I am leary about the Ardex feather finish as it sounds to be more of an underlay material for carpet, ceramic tile etc.

Thanks for the advice. I just watched a video on cement all and it looks like a pretty good option. It also looks DIY friendly. I have been lurking around GJ for a couple months while the garage reno has been in progress. Great forum.

Finished patching floor last night. First time using Cement All and figured things out as we went. Product seemed to be a little easier to use when it was mixed a little on the thin side. One thing that I noticed that worked well was using a wet sponge on the patch area about 10 minutes after being trowelled in place. Painting is next.

I'm getting the floor ready to install Racedeck. Patching the floor and then painting. I'm installing the Free flow tiles where the car sits and I want to make sure the floor is all one color as well as ready for any debris that falls through.

Gotcha! Not sure what you're painting with, but be sure the cement is properly cured and prepared, especially for your cooler temps! Best of luck
