I have a 24'x30' garage that I haven't moved all my stuff into yet. There is a 10'x12' office in one corner with carpet so about 600 sq ft of concrete to treat in the open garage space.
It's an older slab and overall fairly clean but has some small stains from oil drips, drywall mud drips, a few divots where I removed a wall that was secured to slab with nails. I have a power washer which I can use to clean the floor. What product should I use for prep to remove oil stains and clean the slab?
For surface treatment I'd prefer quick, easy, durable and simplest prep possible. Use will be storage of a car, motorcycles, and general work on vehicles, engine and transmissions builds, occasional welding, grinding, etc. From reading here it sounds like epoxy is more work and can require care to not damage it. It sounds like a desifier and sealer would be the easiest route and adequate for my use. I just want a floor that is durable and won't stain horribly if I clean up oil drips and spills in a reasonable amount of time.
I'm considering using Ghostshield 4500 followed with their 8510 product as I've seen a few threads that people used that and it sounds easy enough to get good results. Thoughts on this option? Anything else I should consider? Would an epoxy coating make more sense for my use?
