removing old wallboard in my attached garage...house built in 1965....noticed sheetrock extends below concrete....floor poured after sheetrock? seemed strange and was a pain in the **** to remove at bottom....
it gets a little stranger here...there is plywood under concrete...at least on one side of garage, and the thickness of concrete is 2 inches...seems like its 4 inches on the opposite side.cant tell yet if there is plywood there
i guess the concrete was an afterthought, and the floor was so uneven they shimmed with plywood?
i dont get it...wouldnt you just excavate to get level?....maybe they hit a giant stone or something-any ideas?...thanks
