garage floor sheen and sealer ?s

Hi

Any recommendations on how shiny/smooth I should have my garage floor done?

The guy doing the finishing for me asked...using a 36" power trowel...shiny or a little fuzzy...I wasn't quite sure...don't want it too slippery when wet but...

And also...is it pretty standard practice to seal the concrete with something after a period of time? If so, what, and how long after it's poured is the sealer applied?

I think concrete should cure for a couple of months before sealing.
I prefer a smooth, but not glossy (slippery) surface.
