Garage floor suggestions

I am a few days away from doing something with my garage floor. Floor is new, although I have to pressure wash some spackle and paint off it. I will be using my garage for working on cars. I was looking in Home Depot at concrete stain. Reason I was thinking stain is because I was afraid paint would come off if I get brake cleaner of laquer thinner on it. Was also concerned with scratching. I love the look of epoxy coating but not sure if it will hold up to any abuse (chemical spills) My garage floor is 375 square foot. Any "do it yourself" products? Suggestions? I may try and find some local companies and get some prices.

Concrete stain from thd is usually an acrylic paint.
Real concrete stain is "acid stain" "reactive stain", etc...

Your thd stain will breathe but will not eliminate hot tire issues.

I would install the lift and coat around. You are likely to scratch the floor with the lift and then the touch-up kits will be a flying.

Thats gonna be a pain because it not only has the post, but a runner between the 2 post. If the lift ever has to come out there will be huge indentments in the epoxy. Anyone with a lift and epoxy floor want the weigh in?

I have seen a few pictures of people doing a concrete stain. I thought about staining or doing some sort of concrete coating my back concrete patio. Will the stains hold up to the snow and rain? Or will have to redo it every year or two?

my lift is just the two post open floor design and I coated around it. Tape it off and around I went.

Epoxy, wait...stain...errrr, tile, mmmmm racedeck?

I know, sorry, that was no help...I have gone through a year of these questions shifting position about every month...and I finally decided to leave the garage floor for the last project in the garage (before moving stuff in).

There's no perfect answer for different skills sets, budget, time constraints, or patience level.

Had Gladiator floor tiles ready to put down but changed my mind. Put them on Craigslist, Was really thinking epoxy until I read all the horror stories about bubbles. Think I am just going to go with a stain. Cheap, easy, and I can just re-do it if it gets messed up. I want to be done with this garage so I can move my stuff in and install the lift.

I've had 2 garages done with epoxy. First was simple, done by a friend and didn't last, but the second was done professionally and made sure we did EVERY step anyone has ever recommended, but still had issues, and could have done plastic tiles for as much as I paid these pro's guaranteed service. I recently finished a new small workshop area with Gladiator tiles and love them.

We actually manufacture Whirlpool's Gladiator Garage modular garage flooring line, which are UL approved. I am happy to hear it and would love to see some pics.
