First off, want to say that I appreciate this forum as I've learned a lot from all the members, great resource.

I researched and read on this forum about various options before choosing SwissTrax for my garage. RD also has a nice product but in the end I felt ST was the better choice for me. The thicker tile was a big factor for me.

I worked with Danny @ ST and I have to say that my interactions with him and the company was awesome. I had a small issue with some tiles and they immediately took care of it. Overall, I would rate the product and customer service as a 5/5.

That looks awesome!
How pliable are the ST tiles? I hate the click clack sound that a lot of the products make, and my floor is not perfectly even.

Looks good. You should consider painting the base of the walls. It helps to tie it into the floor. I did that in my last two garages with great results.

How pliable are the ST tiles? I hate the click clack sound that a lot of the products make, and my floor is not perfectly even.

For garages, our Ribtrax tiles have been the overwhelmingly most popular choice. While an individual tile is not pliable, due to its thickness and overall structural integrity, the connected floor as a whole is quite adaptable. Our Ribtrax is ¾” thick and 15.75” square with 6 patented connectors per side. This allows the system to conform to uneven surfaces.

They also feature a full ¼” channeling system designed into the underside of each tile; this supports the tile to eliminate that “click clack” sound, improves the drainage efficiency and also hides the subfloor underneath very nicely. Ribtrax will offer a quiet, comfortable floor without the need for underlay or an even subfloor.

If you opt for a solid tile, they conform nicely but any solid tile can be a little noisy when you walk on it. One can always use a thin underlay below the solid tiles to dampen that click clack sound. We do also offer a rubber underlay.

If you're still on the fence, take a look at this video from Matt Moreman - another member on this forum and he talks specifically about not wanting solid tiles due to the click clack sound BUT has been very happy with the Ribtrax.

I have a question: So if there's fluid leaks like brake fluid, coolant, oil etc it will go straight to the bottom of real-floor and stay there?

Yes. It's fairly easy however to pop up a section of floor and wipe down the spill. This is why it's becoming more popular to apply a penetrating sealer to the concrete first before installing a self-draining type of tile if you are inclined to work on cars or machinery.

Good penetrating sealers are easy to apply and not very expensive. You can install the tile the same day you seal the floor.
