Garage Floor Temperatures

I have read a lot of posts about the minimum temperatures to cure Epoxy but not able to find anything that shows for how long. I am using Armorseal HS and it has a minimum curing temperature of 50 degrees. Temperatures in Houston are hovering between a high of 65 during the days and high 40s at night for a few hours.

My question is if I apply my epoxy early afternoon when it is 65 and my garage floor only experiences a couple degrees below 50 for an hour or two many hours later, is that ok? I plan to wait a few days between recoat.

I've checked my garage floor with an infrared gun and it gets 1-3 degrees below the air temperature.

Keep in mind once the temperature goes below the lowest recommended cure temperature, the epoxy will severely slow down the curing process or stop altogether. Once the temperature picks back up, the epoxy will resume curing.

I'd lay it down and check it in 12 hours. If it is too soft to walk on still, check it in another 6-8 hours.

I wouldn't recommend waiting days to check it, unless you plan on sanding the entire floor before the next coat. I sand in between coats regardless, but some people are unable to do that step, so be sure to adhere to the manufacturer's recoat window.

I would wait until the floor warms up to the minimum recommended temperature........ Too much money and product to "potentially" waste if something goes wrong.
The manufacturer has done research on these products and I suggest following their directions.

Coatings stalled during cold-temps, for enough time, can lose performance properties. Always best to wait.
