Been lurking here for a while trying to figure out what to do for my garage floor. I had gone back and forth witht he idea of staining + epoxy clear, but figure now painting would be best to hide everything. I'm starting this thread to chronicle what I'm doing, along with getting hopefully some advise from people who've gone through this already.
So I have several questions that hopefully somebody can help with.
1) As seen in the photos there are cracks present. I live on a mountain of granite or heavy stone. Not much movement as I understand. I've owned the place for 5 years and the cracks have not moved visably. I figured that I would notch the cracks in a v shape, and fill them with cement to smooth. That would then be smoothed out when I Di-Teq grind the floor.
2) Throughout the floor there are circular pits, do I just fill them like puttying wood?
3) Any good reccomendations for getting rid of the old oil stains? I've tried TSP, laundry detergent, borax, etc.
