Garage Floor Tiling?

Am trying to decide if I want to try and resurface the spalling and pitted concrete floor of my garage, or just sack up and buy some of those Race-deck type flooring tiles. My concern comes with durability. I do a lot of work on my vehicles with jacks, jackstands, air tools etc. Will these type of tiles hold up? Should I do a sealer before I put the tiles down? What tiling do you all recommend that wont break the budget? Garage is approximately 20'x20'

Hi, resurfacing is always prone to failure in a garage due to temperature changes and such.

Interlocking garage floor tiles can stand up to a busy garage quite well. I suggest using the search tool here on the forum to find some of the answers you are looking for. You will see many examples of people using garage tiles in all kinds of environments with great pics as well as the projects they have performed.

Doing this will give you a better idea of what you may want and expose you to the various brands available. The vendors here are extremely nice as well and may give you some info on the tiles they carry.

Great question. Garage floor tiles were designed to go over exactly what you describe and the good ones put up with a lot of abuse on a daily basis. There are a lot of choices out there. 'RaceDeck style' are hard plastic (polypropylene) and then their are flexible tiles (PVC).

My suggestion would be to start here: Garage Floor Tiles and then let me know what you would like to see samples of. REALLY IMPORTANT if you use hard tiles put landscape fabric down first.
