Garage floor

My garage floor is spalling and I want to install some type of flooring, either tile or something like racedeck. My question is, would it be OK if I put some type of leveling compound that fills the spalled spots and then put tile over the top of this?

Unless your floor has major holes in it, I don't think you have to worry about it with Race Deck. It should absorb a little uneveness without a problem. If you do have large divots, some kind of concrete patch should be fine.
