this floor is the bigfoot sold by gregsmith equipment, and the guy on ebay is a reseller of it. that was told to me by greg smith himself. this tile is made in china or somewhere oversea is what he told me that is why it is so much cheaper.

look at the first listing under this forum you will see al floor tile brands listed as well as price, and if you have any to add do it.

my floor is almost complete piture soon

That Greg Smith plastic tile is an EXACT replica of the Kiwi tiles. I have a sample tile of the Kiwi and the two are identical. Do the Greg Smith tiles have a logo or anything on them? I'm thinking that he is having the same factory that makes Kiwi make his tiles, or he is just selling Kiwi tiles as his own product.

Big Foot rubber & plastic Tiles

I'm curious if anyone here has used either of these rubber or plastic tiles, and in particular would like some feedback on their quality and durability.

Brian

I got a "sample" of their plastic tile - hoping I'd found something reasonably cheap and still good - ha! The sample to me indicates what would be a very noisy, clickity-clackity garage floor. I talked to a rep at BigFoot and he suggested putting a layer of thin padding beneath the tile. Not my idea of a good tile. Dammit - just hate to have to pay RaceDeck's price but looks like it's the best for sure.

This rep was from GREG SMITH EQUIPMENT? They are from what I know the only sellers of Bigfoot.

Another thing is that it does look like the kiwi tile but the bigfoot tile is changing its look to the traditional look of diamond plate with he single line. This is due to conflict with that of kiwi. Kiwi was going o take them to court if they did not change there style.

Can you verify if you have both that you could actually mix a KIWI with Bigfoot??? The reason I ask is Bigfoot is out of red and I need 90 pieces to do my design :willy_nil

greg smith tile

i have purchaced the big foot tile. The tile cleans easy. I just pulled the heads off my chevy truck and spilled antifreeze and oil on the tiles. I used laundrey soap and sprayed the tile down. Easy clean up. To walk on the tile it sounds like you are walking on plastic tile. What else would you expect it to sound like? The onley draw back that I found is that the tile is brittle in cold weather. I dropped some 1 inch square tubing on the tile and it punched a hole in the tile. That is why I ordered extra. This tile does not handle impact damage very well. If I had it to do over again I would have paid the extra $ a foot and got racedeck. This tile is ok for light maintenance but i do heavy maint with alot of metal fabrication. not as durable as I would have hoped for. You get what you pay for. BERM

Would the race deck be any quieter?? If so why??? I am in same boat as you just got samples and not sure I would ever be happy with the noise

I receievd the Racedeck sampes today and from what i can see, the 2 products are virtually identical, although I could be wrong.

I'll know 100% for sure on Monday or Tuesday when I receive the Big Foot Tile samples

I cant see how after receiving the samples today. I recieved 1 big square and several smaller colr samples. These things will make some noise. The only suggestion I heard was to put a foam barrier on to the concrete under the tiles and that will supress some of the noise. But they are still plastic.
