Garage flooring help

I searched the internet as well as here on GJ for answers to my question but could not find anything. I have been a lurker for a long time mostly due to most of my questions being answered by searching but I finally couldn't find anything on this topic.

My house sits up on a hill and my driveway is very sloped so when our cars enter the garage it takes a little bit of gas to get the front of the car in. My questions is whether or not racedeck or another similar floor tile would slide around when we pull in? Will it pull the tiles forward out of the front of the garage? I should also mention that I have a 2 car garage that is divided into 2 separate garage doors so there is a 2 foot support between the doors that might help support it when we pull in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am looking into doing some kind of flooring in the fall. Would epoxy be a better option for me?

Wow, what an interesting question. Guess it depends on slopes and coefficients of friction and whether or not you have front wheel drive. I guess you would have to try it with about ten tiles to test it - please post it on you-tube if you do it.

My pure guess is that it would work.

Floor tiles can move. We would want pics, etc, but generally we can work with RaceDeck to secure the front row and then the rest stays in place. But I would want to see how extreme this is first

Also, if you have any heavy items such as rolling tool boxes, storage cabinets, and etc. sitting on the tile, it can make a big difference on whether or not the floor will move as well.

Epoxy with extra anti-skid should be fine for this application.

I'll try to get some pics uploaded on here tomorrow. I will have tool boxes in the front of the garage on top of the tiles so that may help as well as the column in the middle of the garage. I would like tiles over epoxy due to the ease of install.

Hi, you can use our Supratiles with the adhesive, they will never move.

I was expecting to see a very severe slope and incline, judging from your initial description.

The slope and incline in the picture you've presented is really not bad at all.
I would characterize it as a somewhat moderate incline, certainly not severe in any way.

I believe your concern of flooring moving and being pulled away as you enter your garage is an unfounded concern.

Ok...thank you for your advice. I thought it was a pretty steep hill but maybe I was wrong. Any other opinions from the pros?
