I'll give you my thought process on my decision-making with regard to tiles, but take it for what it's worth as a newbie to this whole area....
I'm
not a car enthusiast or someone that does a lot of handiwork in my garage. I do not work on my cars in my garage, nor do I have anything fancy to display. I was simply looking for something to make my 2-car garage look good, and was functional from a 'cleans-up fairly well' perspective.
Once I ruled out an epoxy covering (won't go into details here, but it just wasn't right for my situation) I quickly got to your situation....there are several brands of tiles, of varying quality and dollar amount. I also quickly determined that it wasn't worth it (to me) to spend the kind of money I would need to spend to cover my garage in one of the 'premium' tile brands (SwissTrax, RaceDeck, Gladiator). I have
no doubt that these brands offer a great product, but the total cost was a non-starter for me.
When I focused on the budget brands, I came across this helpful article:

Next, I ordered a few samples of GarageTrac and TrueLock Diamond. To me, the GarageTrac were both cheaper and better looking than the TrueLock Diamond tiles - this is a matter of personal preference. I've got my order of GarageTrac tiles on the way and am excited to install them.
My suggestion would be to get your hands on lots of samples.

RaceDeck
SwissTrax
I'm fairly certain that ALL of the above are more than happy to send you a few samples of their products so you can compare and contrast. Make sure you get at least 2 of each tile type that you're comparing so you can test out the locking mechanisms.
Hope that helps!
