I have a 30 x 30 shop in which I want to put something on the concrete floor. I use this area for general shop work and park classics on. I have epoxy floors in previous floors and find it somewhat expensive. Have tried tiles and found several issues. 1) noisy to walk on 2) Static electricity 3) when gets hot in direct sunlight raises up.

There are many options... Just to address your concerns in regards to modular flooring.
The open rib style flooring ( ex: freeflow ) is silent to walk on. Static really is not the flooring issue, typically something else in the garage + we offer anti-stat additives for garages that have this issue. The expansion issue you mention is 99% of the time an initial installation issue. - with that said, Modular is not for everyone, just as epoxy or paint or vct, or ceramic etc is for everyone... whatever makes you happy in the garage is what is best :)

Tile or coatings would be the way I would go
