Garage from scratch

Hi All...I'm new here.
I'm buying a new house and it should be finished in about 2 months.. The garage is a 2.5 "L" shape. I'll be using it for some fairly heavy wrenching,welding bead blasting engines out ....that kind of stuff. I'm looking for some ideas for flooring storage etc... I've been looking at this site for a couple of weeks and maybe someone can throw me some ideas.
We are in Ohio, The garage is stick built on a slab and attached to the house.

Corner where the shower stall is will be a shop area. A compressor,bead blast cabinet,work bench and tool box. I don't know how high the ceiling is but I'd like a backyard buddy so I'm not sure on that. HOA rules don't allow a seperate building other than a shed for bikes, snow blower etc. I'll get a shed so I don't have to worry about stuff filling it up.
