Hi

Got a friend moving into a new shop towards the end of the year...

Would like to get him a gift...kind of a garage warming gift...but also a thank you gift for all the times he's helped me out with my many auto related problems...

He runs his own auto shop so he pretty much has all the tools he needs...

Looking for any and all idea of something neat, unique but yet practical...whether that's a tool nobody buys but would be great to have, to food, to whatever...

Just trying to brainstorm ideas...

Thanks!
Patrick

How about a nice stool for his workbench? Maybe something with a seat pattern that reflects his favorite car, tractor, bike, etc?

Or a frig/microwave combo unit like often used in dorm rooms?

Another possibility is one of those large magnifying lights on an articulated arm for close bench work.

jf781 was right with pizza and beer. I don't rightly know how I'd feel if another guy got me a gift.

Take a picture of his old shop so we can look at it. Does he have it decorated with memoribilia or is he a clean stark shop? No use in giving fo-fo **** to a guy that doesn't want it. A clock could be nice, Office supplies or whatnot, Great bottle of booze.

doesn't have too much hanging for decoration and stuff, though I don't think he'd mind something...want to stay under $100

he likes Ford (currently building an early bronco with a 460) as well as harleys...

Whoa; I was thinking I needed to find a new class of friends, then I clicked on the link to see it was $49.85 vs $4,985!

There's a member here that sells personalized license plate signs. That would be pretty cool. He pieces together plates to spell out what you need.
