Garage heat?

Hello members, I tried the search button and didn't find the answer I was seeking. I have. 22 by 22 garage with 7.5 ceiling and was wondering if anyone has tried using a Dr Infrared Quartz heater for their garage?. The walls are insulated as is the door. Amazon sells them for about 123.00 dollars . Seems like a good price. I live in N.E. Ohio so winters can be brutal. Gas isn't an option and I dislike torpedo heaters for the noise and smell. Any input is welcome. Thanks in advance. I guess overall the question is , are their any 110v 1500 watt heaters that will heat my space?

There are some links on here for BTU calculators that might help. My unprofessional opinion is that it would be hard pressed to raise the temp much at all. I run a different kind 110volt 1500w heater in my insulated 18'x36'garage and it just warms the area close to it a little. I only use it when I'm out there. I'm watching to see if the Fahrenheat FUH724 goes on any good Black Friday sales. It's 220v 7500w heater with great reviews on amazon. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, but it will probably take 2 or more to take the chill off.

Tractor Supply sells 1500 watt heaters for approximately $20., even less when on sale.

I think there are three questions I would like to ask before I try to give you an answer.

First off, what temperature are you trying to get in the garage?

Second, how often are you planning on working in the garage?

Third, are you planning on leaving the heat turned on (but turned down) all the time, or only using the heater when actually working in the garage?
