I have fitted black pipe before but the supply demands of my setup is what I'm unsure of. The inside black pipe is 1-inch. This pipe feeds the fireplace, the HW heater, the back porch, and the furnace. Then there's a T in the line with a ~30 foot of 1/2-inch pipe running to the other side of the house (took 4 90 degree adjustments to get there) where there's a hookup for a gas dryer (I do not have one hooked up). About 10 feet before the end of that run is where I'd like to T and go maybe 15-feet to the Hot Dawg heater I'm installing. The heater is about a 45k BTU unit. That being said I could swear that the run that was installed for the dryer (the long 1/2-inch run) is already undersized for a dryer given the length and the numerous of 90's but don't know for sure.
Anyone know if that setup can handle the additional run with a heater? Am I going to have pressure problems at the heater (low pressure NG)? Would it make a difference if I deleted the dryer hookup and dedicate the run to the heater (screw the next owner, my shop needs heat)?
TIA, Matt
