I’m getting ready to have a Reznor garage heater installed and have a question regarding the b-vent pipe install. This is a vertical pipe installation. I’m located in Northeast Ohio.
I have always been under the impression that the vent pipe would need to extend beyond the roof "peak" of where it exits the garage roof. The contractor that was out today chuckled and said no…that it has to extent so many feet from the roof “line”. The roof line being the actual spot where the pipe exits the garage roof.
Does this make sense to you? I do plan on calling the county for their advice before the work is started, but that won’t be until Monday.
The Rezno manual states that it must extent 6 inches higher than the anticipated snow depth and no less that two feet from the roof line.
Thanks
