When I bought my house in 96 it had a natural gas heater already installed.
what i'm wondering about is the way it runs. my garage is 20x21 with a 10 ft ceiling, walls and ceiling are insulated. my heater is a reznor 60000 btu and when it runs the forced air fan only shuts off for a couple minutes before it fires up again. can someone tell me why this is? the thermostat is located to the side of it on the interior house wall and about a foot below and 1/2 a foot in front.

What about temperature 'regulation'... Is the temp what you expect, or does it get too hot/too cold? A 400 sq ft building, with 60K BTU should not run that much, IMHO, I don't see mine running that much (150K for 1800 ft).

Also what is your set temperature?

are you talking about the fan turning on and off very fast? There should be a dial thermostat inside the furnace to bring the furnace fan on at 150 degrees and off at 85-100 degrees. You can usually reset these lower , but remember- extreme temperature changes kills heat exchangers
