I reading all the input on garage heating etc, has anyone looked into using a in wall heater/ ac unit to heat and cool your garage? It seems like everyone uses the overhead heaters etc, but I would think this would be a noval way to kill two birds with one stone.

Also, does anyone know the epense involved with running a unit like this ? With every hotel/motel in the county using them I would think it's cost effective.

Any input would be appreciated.

They have heat pump models, but most use resistance heat. I've found the AC to be relatively inefficient and the heat pump models having pretty antiquated hardware. They typically switch to resistance heat at not so low temps.

A mini split is the better way to go.

Check your power company to see what incentives you can get for a heat pump in your area.

They gave me $1000.
