Garage height

So my wife and I are planning a garage I'd like to get some type of bonus room above looking at 28x28 and as one of the previous threads had mentioned about creating the breezeway which I hope we can get a small bathroom out of the deal would be the best way for us to go to accomplish what we need to do the previous thread is almost exactly when I want to do except I don't necessarily need the ceiling height I need the peak height to have a Stairway to go upstairs to have some usable space

What overhead clearance do you want from the tallest item in your garage? Will you be working on roadsters or motor homes?. A ceiling height for your upper floor is usually 8', but 9' might be preferable.

This is something to discuss with an Architect who can contribute their knowledge of what will pass muster in your location.
