Garage/house project

I've been waiting 30+ years for a backyard shop/garage. Well the wife and I just bought a small house on a 1/2 acre here in New Mexico and have started building my dream shop. It's a 30x40 with 9' ceilings. I wanted taller ceilings but city code wouldn't allow the shop to be taller than the house. When the builder is completed it will have stucco, metal roof, 2 8x16 doors and 100 amp service. The house is getting the same stucco and roof treatment plus new windows and HVAC. So far we have cleaned the lot, added a block wall and wood fence. I built gates to close off the back. Hope to have the builder done and out of here by early March.

I'll post up progress and I'm sure ask a lot of questions on how to do stuff.

Man that is great, good for you, we all dream of starting a shop project that way, fresh. Can't wait to see the progress. Please post some close ups of those gates, hardware etc, really nice.

Congrats man.
That wall and gate are sweet. I always wanted some type of steel/iron gate on my property. Maybe one day.. Make a pen for the kids in the yard. Lol.
