Hay all
I am needing a garage built in the location shown on the pictures attached.
Looking for a concrete type or block addition with myself adding a deck onto after the structure is built. Would be the 3rd car/workshop type addition to the house but I would like it about 16' wide and 22' deep which is the measurment to the porch shown. Will be for car restoration type work,,have a heard of goats...

I have a buddy who has CDL and is very good with the backhoe and will rent hoe and pay him to dig it out. Will wind up contracting the concrete work flat and walls as I dont have forms or experience laying block or making walls...
I would reckon I could do the doors with some help...

How much money am I looking at for a concrete type structure or block building?? I have ask a contractor to come for a estimate but so far I cant get them to show for that... (Dosent speak well for that contractor who happens to be a co-workers husband?? Still a no-show for my small job I guess))

I was hoping to get this done for under 10K as my buddy figured about $3700 in concrete cost alone(cant remember if he said 4 yards or 40) just for material not counting steel. Would it be better to think block which I've heard is cheaper?? But I know the concrete will always be better than block or so I've heard...

I have no room for a detached pole barn type due to yard constraints and local building and planning codes.. But wish I could;;;;

Thanks for any recommendations or advice..

What are you wanting to do???

Maybe I have no idea what you are asking. Flat work on concrete is around $4-$8sqft, for just the slab. Poured walls very alot. Construction is cheaper the bigger you build, to a point. I would guess(not sure if I have any idea what you are wanting) you are looking at 10k-20k for a small garage in what I think is the place you are talking about.

It could be much higher than 20k, but it depends on local code and what you can do yourself. Unless I have no idea what you are asking, I do not think it could be done for any less than 10k. It looks like you live in the city, not the county. City is about 25%-30% higher than county here.

Yes am talking of a garage addition added to the side of the house pictured. So in the 2 garage door pix you see there would be a third to the right in the place where the landcaping is the 3 trees area.... It would be in line with the 2 doors there already and extend out onto the driveway no further than the existing doors.
A box type garage 16 foot wide and 22 feet deep. After I get it all dug out so am not looking at much cost at all in the digging only someone pouring the walls and floor and roof..
Thanks

Just an idea you could put a flat roof on the add. shop and make it into a sun deck and put a door in where that window is.Of course you would want a slight slant to the roof repel water runoof .:headscrat

I like your idea, I too am a goat lover, the car type that is! I do not have a good idea about concrete work. I get all mine done cheaply by contractor pal!

In SE Michigan, concrete flatwork goes for $2.15-2.30 installed a square foot, plus any base material such as crushed stone, sand or whatever.
